The Epson LAN/Fax (ELF) is a Type II PCMCIA card that streamlines mobile computing. It combines Ethernet and fax modem functionality. With its multitasking ability, you don't even have to exit applications between fax and transmission functions.
The ELF is available in two models. The ELF 14NA transfers data at 14.4Kbps and the ELF 28NA has a 28.8Kbps rate for the fax modem functions. Both cards ship with 10BaseT Ethernet.
The ELF supports MNP-10EC cellular modem technology, an enhanced cellular modem protocol for coping with interference, cellular base station handoffs, and fading and dropouts during cellular use. It functions with Card and Socket services.
